Thanks for visiting Growcasting!
First, let me point out that I have never called a game in affiliated ball. Therefore, I am a broadcasting hack who should not be taken seriously.
If you’re still unsure, keep in mind that any advice you take from Growcasting is coming from the same person behind the mic for this gem.
You were warned.
If you’re still reading, the one thing that I can offer is more than a decade of experience as a lead broadcaster in professional baseball, combined with a deep desire to help others improve their craft.
Growcasting was founded on the belief that any person who takes the time to listen to a baseball game deserves a first class experience, regardless of the level of play. Collectively, we can accomplish this goal by reaching our full potential as an industry, and becoming the best versions of ourselves on and off the air.
For having never broadcast an inning in affiliated ball, I do consider myself the luckiest radio guy in the business. Over the last 10 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to have called seven playoff runs, three no-hitters, three triple plays, three cycles, two all-star games, countless walk-offs (including a walk-off grand slam), and most recently, a pair of championships. I wish for every broadcaster to have rewarding experiences like these before their careers are finished.
I love our industry, I respect our industry, and I want to help current and future broadcasters further their development to ensure the longevity of our industry.
Have a great call!
